Gatecrashing Ginza & shopping in Kanda

If you ever feel like strolling around pretending you have lots of spare cash or you fancy a bit of window shopping, Ginza is the place to go.

On weekend afternoons, the main street, Chuo Dori, is blocked off from car traffic from midday till 5pm. Gives the pedestrians plenty more room to walk which makes it easier to get around the crowds.

Dior, Chanel, Prada, and Louis; all the gang are here.

We also enjoyed checking out the Nissan showroom and sitting in the Skyline.

Zara, H&M, Topshop and other more affordable brands are also represented in Ginza. Uniqlo is definitely worth checking out for 6 floors of reasonably priced basics. They have just opened up their first stores in Melbourne too.

After a tasty meal of beef tongue, we headed across town to Kanda.

If you are looking for snowboard stuff, Kanda is full of sports stores with some bargains to be had.
We were on the hunt for some new gloves; there was quite a  range to choose from....

These were cute but at $120, I kept looking. They didn't look very waterproof either....

Chris decided these were the pair for him:

I'm not sure if they are mittens or gloves? Mittoves? Glovttens? That is his new board behind him in the photo too. Also from the shops in Kanda. Bring on next season :)
